Pink Pucks and Power Plays

by V L Locey

Naked man in hockey helmet and skates

In Pink Pucks & Power Plays, you`ll meet Viviana Land, a curvy and proud of it reporter, and Alain Lessard, star defenseman for the  Philadelphia Wildcats.

Somehow, the sassy society page reporter gets lassoed into serving as the Busy Bee scout leader for her niece’s troop. One overheated engine and a missed basket-weaving class later, Viviana and her girls find themselves in the Green Hills Ice Rink, facing a world that none of them knew existed.

Enter Alain Lessard, the charmingly handsome young defenseman for the  Wildcats, who is donating his summer to coach the youth league his team sponsors.

When our intrepid reporter is given the chance to write the break-out story of her career, Viviana leaps at the chance to pen a tell-all exposé about the media-hating Lessard. Will she put aside her virtual pen for a chance to stay at her sinfully erotic new paramour’s side? Or will Viviana finally get away from those mundane bakery openings and library luncheons by using the man she may love as a way to step into the limelight?

Tomorrow, Vicki will be sharing a few thoughts about girls and youth sports programs. Having had a daughter who grew up playing in youth basketball leagues, I’m looking forward to hearing Vicki’s thoughts. I hope you’ll join me.

Meanwhile, today, you can enter her giveaway for chances to win:

  1. Wow, that book sounds wonderful VL! Thanks for sharing!

    • I love Vicki’s humor. It comes through in her writing and that makes for a very enjoyable read.

  2. Thank you both for the kind words. I`ve really enjoyed writing all the books in the Wildcats series so far!

    • What’s the projected release date for the next book? Can you share any thoughts about it yet?

  3. The next book is in the hands of my editor, so if all goes according to Hoyle, within three months. A Most Unlikely Countess is a Cinderella story is ever there were one! I can pass along that my number one beta reader fell in love with the leading lady of Countess, wished to adopt her, and to this day refers to her as ‘My Liz’. That`s the kind of bond that I hope everyone has when they read Liz and Veikko`s love story.

    • When you have a release date, let me know. I’ll help spread the word. 🙂

  4. Will do! Thanks, Christina.
